Director Indra Kumar was one of the filmmakers who took a stand about not releasing his film in Pakistan. The director, in a recent interview with Hindustan, strongly commented, "We won't make them laugh. We will only entertain our own country."

When asked about the film's ban in Pakistan, the director said, "It was Ajay Devgn's decision. When I first read the news of the Pulwama attacks, my initial thoughts were - what about the martyrs' families? I only thought about them. All of this (attacks) must stop. We protested in a small way by not releasing the film in Pakistan. We won't make them laugh. We will just entertain our country with the film. What could I have done? I won't screen my film in Pakistan."

Ajay Devgn on Monday had announced that his upcoming film Total Dhamaal will not be releasing in Pakistan. The decision comes in the wake of a terror attack on a CRPF convoy in Kashmir that claimed the lives of at least 40 soldiers. "In light of the current situation the team of 'Total Dhamaal' has decided to not release the film in Pakistan," Devgn tweeted.

The actor later told PTI that the decision was taken to show their solidarity with armed forces. "This is the only way we can show our solidarity. We stand behind our Army. The nation has put all kinds of sanctions on various things and this was the least we could do," he said.
