Watch: Diana Penty's 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' teaser takes off from the prequel, sets a funny premise

The teaser of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, starring Diana Penty is out. Titled Kaunsi Happy Bhagi? the teaser takes off from its prequel (Happy Bhag Jayegi) where Diana's character had run away from her wedding, only to land up in Pakistan and subsequently meeting Abhay Deol. 

In the teaser, a milkman approaches Happy (Diana) and tells her that rumours are rife that ‘Happy will elope again.’ Happy wonders as to who this new Happy is!

This sets the premise for the new movie in which Sonakshi Sinha joins the cast as the second character named Happy.

Along with Sonakshi Sinha, Jassie Gill will also join the crew in the sequel. Amongst the alumni, we will see Diana, Ali Fazal, Abhay Deol, Jimmy Sheirgill, Aparshakti Khurana and Piyush Mishra again in the sequel. 

Director Mudassar Aziz returns with the film, and so do the co-producers Krishika Lulla and Aanand L Rai. The trailer of the film will be released by the makers on July 25, while the film is slated to release on August 24.  

While in the first film, the titular character accidentally lands up in Pakistan, when trying to elope, the second movie is set in Bangkok. 

Year 2016's original Happy Bhag Jayegi, turned out to be a sleeper hit.  Lets wait and watch what Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has in store for us!
