Shweta Bachchan Nanda, the only non-actor in the Bachchan family, finally made her acting debut on July 17 as she appeared in a TV commercial for a leading jewelry brand with her father and megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
Big B and Shweta made headlines earlier in May when they were first spotted shooting for the commercial and now when it's actually out, people can't seem to get enough of them.
Scripted by L&K Saatchi & Saatchi and directed by GB Vijay from Sculptors Production, the ad narrates the story of a father and daughter, while also higlighting the values of honesty.
Big B got emotional as he shared the ad on Twitter. He wrote, "Emotional moment for me... tears welling up every time I see it... daughters are the BEST! "
Shweta also posted a picture of them from the commercial and wrote, "From our ad! @SrBachchan you’re my safety net for life. You made this so seamless for me! I loved going to work with you! Thank you xx.”
Shweta, who recently announced her first book, is also known as a fashion designer among her close friends' circle. She had first made her TV debut in 2010 when she had appeared on her friend Karan Johar's popular talk show Koffee With Karan, along with her father.
Amitabh Bachchan has been the face of the brand since 2012 but it was a huge deal for the jewerly brand to get his daughter on board.
