Sushant Singh Rajput opened up about ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande at the Star Screen Awards 2018 on Sunday
Sushant Singh Rajput, who is riding high on the success of his last outing, Kedarnath, opposite debutante Sara Ali Khan, made an attempt to bond with his ex-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande recently.
Sushant a few days back congratulated Ankita for her role as Jhalkaribai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi on Instagram. The actor also wished her all the luck for her debut in Bollywood.
This is apparently the first time the actor tried to communicate with the actress after their much talked about breakup.
On a picture that the casting director of Manikarnika posted on Istagram, where Ankita Lokhande can be seen as Jhalkaribai, Sushant Singh Rajput commented by saying, "It looks absolutely great, Ankita. I'm extremely happy to see this. May God bless you with lots of success and happiness."
Reading this, Ankita replied saying, "Thank You Sushant and I wish you the same."

This conversation of the two actors went viral on social media.
Now, at the Star Screen Awards 2018 on Sunday, Sushant Singh Rajput was asked if he personally called up Ankita after seeing her look and commenting on it.
On this, the actor replied saying that his conversations on the digital media were personal and literal. He also said that he liked her look straight from the heart.

Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande had dated each other for six years, before parting ways.
The two ended their relationship for reasons not confirmed.
While some say that it was Ankita's alleged over-possessiveness that had badly affected their relationship, others suggest that it was Sushant's growing closeness with Kriti Sanon that was the reason behind the split.
Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande essays the role of Jhalakaribai, who is the aide of Rani Lakshmibai in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The actress makes her debut in Bollywood with this film.
Sushant Singh Rajput, on the other hand, has a busy year ahead with Drive, Kizie Aur Manny, Sonchiriya and Chhichhore in the pipeline.
