WATCH: Sridevi's 'Mom' trailer explores the COMPLEXITIES of a mother-daughter relationship!

The makers of Sridevi starrer Mom have just unveiled it's trailer and it looks quite complex and intriguing at the same time. The trailer gives us an ample sneak peek into the movie, at the same time reveals little about the core plot. 

The trailer begins with Devki (Sridevi) asking the question, "Galat aur bohot galat mein se chun na ho, toh aap kya chunenge?" and it grabs your attention right there. The visuals that follow show two sides of the story. One, that Devki's elder daughter Arya is a little aloof from her and two, Devki is a loving wife and mother to two beautiful daughters and everything seems to be perfectly fine in their family. 

As the trailer progresses, we get an inkling that probably due to a mishap, Arya gets further distanced from Devki. On her part, Devki waits to be accepted by her daughter as she tries to understand her silence.

When patience fails, Devki has to make a choice between what's wrong and what's very wrong. These choices come to her in the guise of Dayashankar Kapoor aka DK "in short" (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and a menacing character played by Akshaye Khanna. 

What Devki chooses to do in such a challenging situation forms the crux of the story. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, Mom is slated to hit the theatres on July 7.
