Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar's joint production venture, Ittefaq is all set to hit the theatres this Friday. The movie, which is adapted from the Yash Chopra film of the same name, has Sidharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna headlining the cast. The original film had Rajesh Khanna and Nanda as the leads.
While many of the viewers would already be aware of what the story is about in a nutshell, if they've watched the original, the same cannot be said about the current generation. To protect the sanctity and maintain the curiosity about the film, all those associated with it have come forward to urge the viewers to not give any spoilers to others who may not have seen the original film. They even request the fans to refrain from putting up the story or plot of the film on social media after watching the first day first show as well.
Shah Rukh Khan shared a one minute video writing, "When you give out a spoiler, you become one! #SayNoToSpoilers and watch #IttefaqThisFriday". He can be heard saying, "Yeh jo spoiler naam ki bimaari hai, woh aaj ki nahi hai. Bohot purani hai, aur bohot hi irritating hai. Like, how would you feel if someone told you, 'Kattappa ne Baahubali ko kyun maara?' before you even saw Baahubali part 2. How would you feel if someone told you the suspense behind 'Gone Girl'. Achha nahi lagta hai na? Isiliye movie dekhne ka maza kharab mat kijiye. Ham sab hamari industry mein bade hi pyaar aur mehnat se filmein banate hain. So please say no to spoilers."
SRK further urged the viewers to watch Ittefaq on November 3 to know who did it. "And after you know who did it, don't tell anyone," he concludes.
