Even though India's first female superstar Sridevi is no longer amidst us today, she continues to live on in the hearts and memories of her admirers, through her work. This year, the late veteran actress Sridevi was honoured with the Best Actress award for her heart wrenching performance in the film Mom, at the National Film Awards 2018. The awards function, which was held in New Delhi, was attended by Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Boney, Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor were quite emotional during the awards function.

After the ceremony was over, Boney Kapoor interacted with the media along with his daughters Khushi and Janhvi. A video from the interaction has made it to social media and has gone viral. In the said video, Janhvi can be seen talking about her mother for the first time after her demise.

A visibly emotional Boney Kapoor thanked the jury and the Government of India for recognising Sridevi's hard work in her 50 year long career spanning over 300 movies. IT was during this interaction that he called Janhvi and Khushi and shared that they'd like to express their gratitude for honouring Sridevi.

Janhvi said, "Both of us would just like to thank the jury for recognising the hard work, perseverance and dedication that my mother's put into this role. It was very special to her and we're very happy that she's being appreciated for it. I'd like to thank the Government of India for it."

When prodded further about whether she misses her mom, Janhvi replied saying, "I don't want to talk about it."
