One filmmaker who has time and again delighted the audience with epic love stories set in modern, contemporary times, is Imtiaz Ali. Imtiaz's romantic dramas including Jab We Met andTamasha, are known to showcase raw and real emotions.

The films are so believable that no matter how many times we see it, we always end up loving them and connecting with them. Poignant stories are hard to narrate, but Imtiaz so far has done a good job. 

Once again he is all set to win hearts by presenting a modern day adaptation of the epic love story of Laila Majnu. Even though Imtiaz is just presenting the film this time and his brother Sajid Ali is directing it, we are hoping that something beautiful comes out.

Sitting on the promoters seat, the Highway director, endorsed the film in a unique way. Imtiaz took to his Instagram handle and shared his thoughts on how time changes, but tales like Romeo Juliet and Laila Majnu never go out of fashion, with a series of videos. 

The filmmaker captioned the video as, “For over a thousand years, the tale of Laila-Majnu’s love is being told & heard. There has to be something about this story that connects with each passing generation. Trends and expressions change, people come and go, but Laila Majnu never goes out of fashion. It’s fascinating. Here are some my thoughts on this and a lot more in-Laila Majnu Tales by Imtiaz Ali”

 

 

The trailer of Laila Majnu is set to release on July 25. Until then stay tuned as Imtiaz Ali will be sharing more interesting insights and tales about this classic love story. Starring Tripti Dimri, Mir Sarwar and Avinash Tiwary in pivotal roles, the film is slated to release in August.
