After enthralling the audience with 'Mohabbat' and 'Halka Halka', the makers of 'Fanney Khan' released a new song on July 20. Titled 'Mere Achche Din Kab Ayenge', the Amit Trivedi song is a tribute to the struggles of a common man who is still waiting for his achche din. Penned by Irshad Kamil, the song features a glum and ageing Anil Kapoor and a youthful Rajkummar Rao. It talks about the woes of a comman man who is crushed under the pressure of his dreams. The lyrics are equal parts pensive and inspirational. Kapoor looks too-handsome to be a taxi driver but wins your heart nevertheless with his nuanced performance. Anil and Raj's camaraderie looks genuine and endearing.

Directed by Atul Manjerekar, 'Fanney Khan' is an official remake of the Belgian comedy 'Everybody’s Famous!' (2000) and also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It revolves around the story of a father who strives to make a living for his family while dreaming of making his daughter a singing sensation. It will release on August 3.
