Not a recording studio, Aamir Khan and his team of 'Secret Superstar' create a song at his Panchgani farmhouse
You must have heard 'a family that eats together stays together'. But for Aamir Khan and his team of Secret Superstar it becomes ' a team who works together stays together'.
The superstar shared the making of the first song from his Diwali release, 'Secret Superstar'. We couldn't help but notice that the entire team, music composer Amit Trivedi, lyricist Kausar Munir, producer Kiran Rao are busy brain storming not in a recording studio but inside a beautiful house. Sitting casually in a bedroom, sipping a cup of tea where the four talented people are discussing the words and a tune for a song which describes the angst of a 14 year old girl who wants to become a singer and eventually posts a video on Youtube hiding her face behind a burqa.
Kausar Munir reveals that the location is Aamir Khan's farmhouse in Panchgani, where the team bonded and discussed the music for the film. The making of the song Main Kaun Hoon also introduces to the voice behind Zaira Wasim's character. Aamir Khan had earlier described her as 'one of the Secret Superstar' on board and praises Meghna Mishra saying that very few singers can sing without auto tuning these days. Keeping up with the perfectionist ways, the 16 year old girl was made to record the song with lights switched off, so she could feel the fear of the character in the film.
Aamir Khan tweeted praises for his team saying, "It was a privilege working with Amir, Kausar, Meghna and above all Advait."

Aamir Khan had earlier said he intends to highlight the message of equality between boys and girls in the society, something which he did in his last blockbuster film "Dangal" as well. "Secret Superstar" revolves around a young girl (Zaira Wasim) and her dream to become a singer. Talking about the similarity between the two films, producer Aamir said in a statement, "This film and 'Dangal' both are based on the same topic - which is changing the attitude towards girls. Treating girls equally as we treat our boys. This is again based on empowerment of the girl child."
