Ayesha Takia's husband Farhan Azmi sought Mumbai police's help as the actress was being stalked and threatened.

Actress Ayesha Takia's husband Farhan Azmi has claimed that his wife, mother and sisters were being harassed, stalked and threatened by a litigant. Farhan, who was worried about the women in his life, sought help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on Twitter as a last resort after Mumbai Police allegedly turned him down repeatedly.
Farhan also alleged that Deputy Commissioner Of Police Paramjit Singh Dahiya had "illegally frozen (their) bank accounts" and was refusing to answer his calls or messages.

Farhan took to Twitter, and shared screenshots to support his claims that DCP Dahiya was avoiding him. In the messages, Farhan accuses him of "helping this man harass my family and wife".

The issue was eventually adjudicated, after Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Deven Bharti intervened. Farhan thanked the Joint Commissioner and wrote, "Thank you @DevenBhartiIPS Ji #MumbaiPolice for stepping in. I trust the Mumbai Police. 3 rotten apples cannot spoil #theappletree."

In the meantime, Ayesha Takia was last seen on the silver screen in Nagesh Kukunoor's Mod in 2011. Recently, the Wanted actress, who has a four-year-old son Mikhail, in an interview opened up about her desire to do films, but only as long as the schedule of the film goes hand-in-hand with her schedule. Family and motherhood remain her priority.
