'Uri' trailer: The patriotic action-drama starring Vicky Kaushal will give you gossebumps

The makers of Uri: The Surgical Strike released the trailer of the much awaited patriotic action-drama on Wednesday. 

The film is based on the 2016 surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army in retaliation to an alleged terror attack in the Kashmir region of Uri. 

The engaging trailer of the film begins with the title that reads, “On 18 September, 2016, 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at Uri base came, Kashmir.” 

Then Vicky Kaushal’s character is introduced with a scene in which he vows to never let his brothers-in-arms down, no matter where he is deployed.

A little later, Yami Gautam's character too is introduced.

The actress essays the role of an intelligence officer, who is seen interrogating a terror suspect.

The 2.24 minutes video also sees a montage in which Vicky trains his chosen team for the operation, and delivers an impactful speech that shall sure give you goosebumps. 

“Indian Army didn’t start this war, but we will bloody hell finish it,” he yells.

Uri: The Surgical Strike is directed by Aditya Dhar, produced by Ronny Screwvala, and also stars Paresh Rawal, Mohit Raina and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.

The film is slated to hit the silver screens on January 11 next year.
