Devendra Fadnavis took a dig at CM Uddhav Thackeray, stating that he might be more interested in settling scores with Kangana Ranaut than battling COVID-19
On Sunday, Senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis addressed rumours about the party planning to rope actor Kangana Ranaut as their star campaigners for upcoming polls in Bihar. He further went on to lash out at Mahrashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena chief.
Fadnavis took a dig at Thackeray and said he is more interested in settling scores with Kangana Ranaut, when he should actually concentrate on battling coronavirus. The former chief minister said that Maharashtra has been worst hit by the pandemic and thus, the CM needs to focus on that.
"Uddhav Thackeray needs to concentrate more on battling corona, by which the state has been the worst hit. But he seems to be more interested in settling scores with Kangana," he stated. Fadnavis was talking about actor Kangana Ranaut's house demolition and heated exchange of words between Ranaut and Thackeray.
Clearing that the BJP already has a star campaigner in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Fadnavis said Kangana is not being considered, at least at the moment. "We need no other star campaigner as the NDA has, in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the biggest star campaigner," he told reporters.
Fadnavis has been appointed as BJP's election in-charge in Bihar. On the other hand, Kangana Ranaut and the Mahrashtra government have been at loggerheads since actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14, 2020.
After her brief stay in Mumbai, in her Bandra house demolished by BMC, Kangana has returned to Manali today. The actress, who met the Maharashtra Governor on Sunday, left a message on Twitter about how she felt 'terrorized' in Mumbai.
