Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor's dance-based film Street Dancer 3D made a lot of noise on being announced. While shooting for the Remo D'souza directorial is currently uderway, Arshad Warsi, who earlier worked as a choreographer for stage shows, was recently asked if he'd like to do a dance-based film, much like VD. The Munnabhai MBBS actor shared that he'd rather be known as an actor who can dance than a dancer who can act.

Arshad, who will soon be seen in the upcoming comedy Total Dhamaal, was speaking with IANS. He also worked as a choreographer for the 1993 movie titled Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja. When quizzed about his interest in taking up a dance film, Arshad told the agency, "I will not be able to do that. When I joined the industry, I was asked and I said, 'I would like to be known as an actor who can dance rather than a dancer who can act'. So, for me dancing is a small part of acting."

The actor however, also added that if he gets an opportunity to do a dance film, he would definitely take it up. He was further quoted as saying, "Until and unless I am asked to do a film which is dance-oriented, then maybe. But I will not force just because I can dance."

Those who're caught unaware, Arshad had earlier won an English Jazz Dance Competition at the age of 21 and had also opened a dance school. Arshad Warsi will soon be seen in 'Total Dhamaal' along with Ajay Devgn, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Anil Kapoor and others. The film is slated to hit the theatres this Friday.
