Just when we thought that the debate over nepotism in Bollywood has taken a back seat, looks like there's fresh fodder to keep the fire alive. We have already reported about how Salman Khan's brother-in-law is all set to make his Bollywood debut, looks like another superstar's brother-in-law is soon to follow suit.
We're talking about Akshay Kumar's brother-in-law Karan Kapadia. Karan Kapadia who you ask? Well, Karan is Twinkle Khanna's cousin brother and Dimple Kapadia's late sister- Simple's son. Grapevine has it that Karan will be making his Bollywood debut with Azhar director Tony D'Souza's production. He has already been giving auditions.
A report on MidDay quoted Karan as saying, "I have gone out there for auditions, I have been rejected and been told already by a few people that they don’t see any spark in me. However, most said that I do have potential. So, it’s good that I have been exposed to rejection early in my career.”
Karan also told the tabloid that he's not using any family connections to get a part. "When you come from the kind of family that I do, you obviously have access to certain people that you wouldn’t have otherwise. But, I do as much as I can on my own,” he said.
Tony also confirmed that he'll be launching Karan, "Yes, we will make a film with Karan, but it is too early to say anything. I intend to produce films, but that will happen only after I have wrapped up my directorial Captain Nawab” added the report.
