This is what Mahira Khan has to say on smoking pics with Ranbir Kapoor

No celebrity is spared from the prying eyes of paparazzi. And who knows it better than Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan! The two were spotted together in New York, smoking in an alley and the pictures of the two went viral and how. Trolls were particularly harsh on the Pakistani actress and targetted her smoking and wearing a backless dress.

The film fraternity across two borders came out in their support of the Raees actress. But finally it's the girl in the middle of the controversy who has decided to speak up. At a promotional event for her upcoming film Verna, Mahira Khan gave a TV interview and unabashedly confessed that she has learnt a life lesson.  She said, “I am a very careful person otherwise. People ask me that I do not do this in films (smoking and wearing backless dress), I say I do not want to. Why should I do anything to show the world? It is my personal life and it is very normal for a boy and girl to hang out. Nowadays, media is not only present at events but everywhere. So, I have learnt from it.”

Earlier, NDTV quoted a statement of Ranbir Kapoor which read “I’ve gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is. It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman. I request you to stop the negativity and move on with your beautiful god gifted lives. Peace and love.” He completed it with a note at the end which is the best reaction ever. It says, “PS: Both smoking and hate are injurious to health.”
