After making a name for herself in Bollywood and the West, Priyanka Chopra has added yet another feather to her cap. She finds herself among 2018’s top 25 celebrity performers, a rating across various social media platforms that defines how influential a person is in the digital space. She is ranked at no 15, shortly after Emma Stone and Will Smith. With a total score of 78.8M SMU (Social Media Universe), she joins renowned names such as Selena Gomez, Rihanna, Dwayne Johnson, Lady Gaga and Ellen DeGeneres. 

Recently, the star also became the first Indian actor to join LinkedIn’s annual list of global influencers, which also includes prominent names like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson and Bill Gates among others. 

KEEPING IN TOUCH

Talking to After Hrs from New York, she says, “I’ve never been someone who worries about making it to a list, but it’s nice to be on one with such amazing people… I keep great company.” PC adds she uses social media to interact with her audience. “It’s a way to connect one-on-one with people from across the world. It’s nice to know that they want to stay in touch with me, too, and are interested in what I’ve to share. What’s great about this list is that all of us seem to have the same idea… connect, spread love and just be you,” she states. 

Ask her what’s worked for her and the actress replies, “This is me, real and unfiltered. I think people relate to that, which is important to me. I don’t look at it from any other perspective. This is who I am, like it or unfollow.”
