While Salman Khan and his family are all set to welcome Lord Ganesha in great style and grandeur in keeping with the 15-year old tradition of the family, his rakhi sister, Shweta Rohira is gearing up for the celebrations, which have shifted this year to sister Arpita’s place.

“This is the first time the Ganesh festival will be celebrated at Arpita’s place and there is a great excitement among all of us, more so because Arpita is a great believer and goes out of her way to make the celebration special. Knowing her, it will be a grand celebration and even more extraordinary this year,” Shweta reveals.

According to Shweta, the Ganpati celebrations at Salman’s home have always been very special, “There is so much enthusiasm and joy in the whole family coming together. Moreover, there is a very different energy and vibe to the celebrations at his place. Everyone is so tuned into the aartis and all the rituals,” she says.

Shweta, who is also a celebrated painter in her own right, besides being an actor, is busy painting Ganesha walls for several B-town celebrities since the past two weeks. She has also made special Ganesha candles as gifts for the season, “I am trying to cope up with the demand for hand-painted Ganesha walls, floral Ganeshas and eco-friendly Ganeshas, besides my modak-candles. The candles look real and they can be lit, but they are not edible. I have also come out with Ganeshas decorated with real stones,” she says, adding that she would also be welcoming Lord Ganesha in her house for one and a half days, “It is an eco-friendly idol, which I have personally designed. I want to thank the Lord for all that he has given me,” she says.

She recalls the time two years back, when she specially presented a pair of exquisitely made Ganesha candles to Salman, “That was the first time I made those candles and started my own hand-painted creations. Whenever I start something, Salman-bhai is the first one to know about it, so I gifted him Ganesha candles and he was thrilled. Bhai is very lucky for me. His good wishes have always worked for me,” she says.
