The Kapoors will break bread together on Christmas

Celebrating Christmas with Jennifer Kendal Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor has been a family tradition for the Kapoor khandaan for over 50 years. And this time, too, they have ensured that they continue the custom. Shashi’s demise on December 4 won’t change anything. Like every year, the kin will get together for lunch on Christmas at Kunal Kapoor’s home. Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Rima Jain, and their respective families will arrive at Kunal’s residence at noon to enjoy the finest non-vegetarian fare and raise a toast to the occasion as well as to the memories of all their departed elders, especially Jennifer and Shashi who had started this tradition.

Rishi still recalls how Jennifer would make the children find hidden treasures and then gift them money when they managed to do so. This year, Karisma, Kareena and their mum Babita along with Taimur and Saif Ali Khan will attend the Christmas lunch. When contacted, Rishi said, “All of us will celebrate. Life goes on.”
