During an interaction, Tamannaah Bhatia spoke at length about her experience of working with Sajid Khan, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by many women
Filmmaker Sajid Khan was accused of sexual misconduct by several women during the #MeToo movement last year. He was called out by many for his indecent behaviour towards women like asking them to strip for him during personal interactions. Several actors namely Vidya Balan, Bipasha Basu and Lara Dutta have spoken about their bad experience with Sajid during the movie shoots. Vidya and Bipasha had even vowed they will never ever work with him again.
Recently, during an interaction with Deccan Chronicle, when Tamannaah Bhatia was asked about her work experience with Sajid, she stated, "For me, it has always been about the script and what's the kind of film that I am working on. When I worked with Sajid, unfortunately, none of our films did well. He never treated me in any bad way and I was completely comfortable working with him". Tamannaah starred in Sajid's two directorial, Himmatwala and Humshakals.
When quizzed about Vidya's statement on Sajid, 'I don't think he gets women', Tamannaah replied, "Everyone has a different experience and everybody is entitled to their own opinion and experience. If Vidya has had a bad experience, it's normal for her to react like that."
Earlier Bipasha spoke about Sajid by tweeting, "I am glad that women are speaking up about the atrocities of these men with power and clout... but nothing of that sort happened with me...it was just his general attitude toward women that would disturb me on set- he cracked lewd jokes openly and was pretty rude to all girls. I was told by all nt 2 say anything 2 him n stoop to his level- so I quietly finished my work as a professional and explained my stance to the producers .. that I couldnt associate myself with this film anymore as I could lose my temper any moment."
Soon after all the accusations, Sajid was dropped as the director of Housefull 4 starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles.
