Anurag Kashyap's 'Manmarziyan' also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles
Known for attempting all kinds of roles that her heart asks her to, Taapsee Pannu has tried her hand at several kinds of projects.
And this attitude of the actress has made her one of the most sought-after actresses, not just in Bollywood, but also the Indian film industry at large.
In fact the actress is offered an array of interesting roles to pick and choose from.
From Baby to Pink, Naam Shabana, and recently Soorma and Mulk, Taapsee hasn't shied away from doing de-glam roles that allow her to explore the actress within.
And now with Anurag Kashyap's Manmarziyan, Taapsee has tried to yet again do something different and out of the box.
In the film the actress essays the role of the vivacious, free-spirited Rumi.
In awe of her character from the film, Taapsee Pannu took to her Instagram handle and shared a note about the character.
Along with a picture of herself, where she can be seen laughing loudly, Taapsee wrote, “Never thought when I heard the script that this film will end up being an evolution of sorts for a female character. To let her decide and do what makes HER happy in the world where she is always pressured and at times cornered for doing things for everyone else BUT her. Yes she is selfish, she is manipulative, she is aggressive but she is all heart and all for love ..... she is 'Rumi'. Thanks to this woman @kanika.d who, as rightly said, wrote her soul out for Rumi and the man who is the biggest feminist I know @anuragkashyap10 Thank you my janta for embracing Rumi tum sabse woh wala pyaar hai jisme Jitna karo kum padh jaata hai"
Manmarziyan, which also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles, narrates the story of a love triangle between Rumi (Taapsee Pannu), Vicky (Vicky Kaushal) and Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan).
