'Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy' Box Office Day 1: Chiranjeevi and Amitabh Bachchan's film starts slow

Chiranjeevi's awaited action drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy released yesterday. The multi-starrer received a lot of love by fans in the southern states and with releases, in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi the film has been doing well on the Indian Box Office.

The film made a total of Rs 2.60 crores on Hindi box office. The mid-week festive release is sure to keep the numbers growing at a steady rate till the weekend. While Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been praised by fans in India and overseas, the makers reported to have crossed 1 million mark in US and Canadian markets. On the other hand, in Tamil and Telugu languages collectively the film earned a total of Rs. 32 lakhs in Chennai and Rs 25 lakhs in Hyderabad.

 The Hindi dubbed version faced serious competition from Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's WAR. The commercial action thriller went on to surpass other big releases on 2019 on Day 1. It became the biggest opening for Hindi release and Yash Raj Film's production. 

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is based on the life of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, the film is an account of India's first war of Independence against the British Rule. Directed by Surender Reddy, it features an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Kichcha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Ravi Kishan, Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Niharika.
