Amid all the fresh pairings that we will get to see on screen this year, there will also be ones which we have already seen before. No, we aren't talking about a filmmaker-actor duo or a hero-heroine jodi reuniting, but about two actors who are all set to team up for the second time.
TWO-HERO FILM!
Earlier, it was reported that Nitesh Tiwari’s next, which is being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, was supposed to star Varun Dhawan in the lead. However, now we have learnt that the Dangal director has zeroed in on Sushant Singh Rajput.
SUSHANT-RAJKUMMAR TOGETHER?
That’s not all. Reveals a source, “Nitesh’s film is a two-hero project. It’s a college drama with a social message. It’s a celebration of life, love and about embracing success and failure.” For the second lead, the filmmaker is likely to rope in Rajkummar Rao. A source confirms, “Nitesh is keen on signing Raj. Both of them have had a few meetings where they have discussed the project. They admire each other’s work and the actor has also liked the script.” However, he is yet to sign on the dotted line.
“Rajkummar is working out his dates because he’s committed to a lot of other films. The team is awaiting his approval and they plan to announce it only after everything is locked.”
A KAI PO CHE! REUNION
Five years ago, Sushant made his silver screen debut with Kai Po Che! and Rajkummar, although a few movies old, was still waiting for his big-ticket outing at the plexes. The two have remained friends since then and if Rajkummar also gives his nod, it will be a happy reunion on the set! Meanwhile, Sushant is finishing Abhishek Chaubey's Son Chiraiya and Raj is busy with Fanne Khan, Stree and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, all of which are expected to be wrapped up by the end of April. So in all probability, Nitesh’s film will roll out in mid-2018.
