The team of four personnel from Bihar Police visited Cooper Hospital to extract the post-mortem reports of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. However, reportedly the authorities have refused to share any details with them.

The Bihar Police team is investigating Sushant's death case in Mumbai after the late actor's father KK Singh filed an FIR with Patna's Rajiv Nagar police station under IPC Sections 341, 342, 380, 406, 420 and 306 for cheating, exploiting him financially and abetment to suicide.

The Bihar Police have interrogated Sushant's househelp, who said that the actor had his dinner and slept on the night on June 13, contrary to reports that he was partying the night. They also questioned Sushant's sister Mitu Singh, who said that she was with Sushant till June 12, and he was upset after his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty (who were in a live-in) fought with him and left with cash, jewellery, and laptop.

Two Bihar police officials also retreived details from Sushant Singh Rajput's bank account, and reportedly found a few crores missing. It is suspected that Rhea and her brother Showmik, who were reportedly Sushant's business partners, spent the cash.

The Bihar Police came into action a day after Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh refused CBI enquiry stating that Mumbai Police were efficient in investigating the matter. Many politicians have opposed the enquiry by Bihar Police in Mumbai too.

Meanwhile, some other political leaders have been probing a CBI enquiry in the case. Roopa Ganguly and Dr. Subramanian Swamy were at the forefront, followed by Mayawati requesting a CBI probe post involvement of both Mumbai and Bihar Police. Bollywood actors Shekhar Suman and Kangana Ranaut have also been pushing for a CBI probe in the matter.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment on June 14, 2020. The Mumbai Police had declared that he died by suicide due to depression, but continued their investigation in the matter.
