Varun Dhawan, who recently wrapped up Shoojit Sircar’s October, will next be seen in Yash Raj Films upcoming project, Sui Dhaaga - Made in India. Directed by Sharat Katariya of Dum Laga Ke Haisha fame, the film will bring Varun and Anushka Sharma together on the silver screen for the first time.

The Judwaa 2 actor took to social media to post his first look from the film. In the photo, he is seen holding the sewing machine. Varun captioned the picture stating, "हाथ-पैर का मेल गुरु, सुई-धागे का खेल शुरू! #SuiDhaaga @SuiDhaagaFilm @yrf 2018 Gandhi Jayanti"

While speculations were rife that Varun will play a labourer in the film, Varun’s recent post suggests that the handsome actor will in fact play a tailor in the film. Well, his first look with the sewing machine clearly justifies the film’s title -- Sui Dhaaga (thread-needle).

Talking about the film, Varun had earlier said, “From Gandhiji (Mahatma Gandhi) to Modiji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi), our country’s leaders have always endorsed the ideology of Made in India. With our film, I am proud to take their message to millions of people in a relevant manner.” Anushka too spoke on the film and added, “It’s a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect with every Indian. And I am really looking forward to work with Varun and the team of Maneesh and Sharat.”

Meanwhile, Varun recently conducted a Twitter session with his fans and one of them asked him - "@Varun_dvn when will the shoot for Sui dhaga start? #varunsays"

To which the handsome actor replied, "In feb #varunsays"

Sui Dhaaga - Made in India will hit the theatres on September 28, 2018, during the Gandhi Jayanti weekend.
