India lost its 'Chandni' forever on February 25, 2018. Sridevi's tragic death left the entire nation in a state of deep shock. The actress suffered from a cardiac arrest when she was in Dubai to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah.

It's the legend's 55th birth anniversary today, first since her unfortunate demise earlier this year, and everyone from her family members, fans to industry members are paying their respects to the late actress in their own way.

The Information & Broadcasting Ministry of India has announced the screening of her best films at the Films Division in the capital on August 13 and 14. 'Mom', 'Lamhe', 'Mr India', 'English Vinglish', 'Sadma' and 'Chandni' are the six films that have been selected to be screened.

Her daughter Janhvi Kapoor posted a happy throwback picture of the family while celebrity designer and one of Sridevi's closest friends Manish Malhotra shared a picture of the actress with a caption that read, "I Truly Miss You Very Much."

Meanwhile, Mumbai dedicated an entire 18ft mural on Chapel road, Bandra to the legendary actress. The wall painting is a part of Ranjit Dahiya‘s Bollywood Art Project.
This Bandra bylane is famous for having life-size paintings of famous Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Amrish Puri, Dev Anand and Madhubala. Sridevi is the lastest addition to these legends and a worthy one, indeed! It's her look from 'Gurudev' that has been immortalised on the wall.
