The nation and Bollywood film fraternity woke up to a shock today as legendary actress Sridevi passed away on Saturday night in Dubai following a cardiac attack. The actress, who passed at the age of 54, left a void in everyone’s heart. Sridevi was in the UAE to attend Mohit Marwah and Antara Motiwala’s wedding along with husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor.

While she was being praised for her sartorial choices as she made heads turn in ethereal Manish Malhotra ensembles, she also reigned Bollywood for her successful second innings in the industry. After a 15-year long hiatus, she made her much-awaited comeback with English Vinglish and then received praise for her strong role in Mom.

However, before her sudden demise, she had been apparently prepping to grace the silver screen with yet another film. As per a report in India.com, the actress was all set to reunite with Gauri Shinde once again. From what we hear, the official announcement was to be made soon and Sridevi was planning to get on the sets after the wedding in Dubai. “The script is ready and Sri has loved it. Once again, just like ‘English Vinglish’, it is a strong character that will be extremely relatable and something that will inspire women.”, the source close to India.com.

Apart from the upcoming film, Sridevi shot for a special song in Aanand L Rai’s Zero, which also stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. It is overwhelmingly heartbreaking to know that’s the last we will see her on the silver screen.
