Soorma is a biopic on the life of ace Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh

Shaad Ali's Soorma starring Diljit Dosanjh witnessed an upward trend on day two. It managed to rake in Rs 5.05 crore on the second day of its release. The movie had collecected a total of Rs 3.20 crore on its opening Friday. Owing to the positive word of mouth, Soorma takes the two day grand total to Rs 8.25 crore at the box office.
Based on the life journey of hockey player Sandeep Singh, Soorma is garnering immense love and appreciation from the audience and critics alike. After being certified as 'U' rated film, Soorma is witnessing footfalls by kids and family in larger numbers at the theatres.
Soorma is an inspiring true story of the human spirit, about a player, who made headlines for his miraculous comeback after an unfortunate accident. It is a lesser known fact that, Sandeep Singh has been hailed as one of the world' most dangerous drag-flickers of all time with drag speeds of over 145 km/hr which led to his nickname, ‘Flicker Singh’.
