After delivering 100 crore blockbuster 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' actor Kartik Aaryan is being touted as the next big thing in Bollywood. 

Before announcing his next project, Kartik stayed in news for his performance at IPL 2018 closing ceremony and even hosted IIFA Rocks with Ayushmann Khurranna

Now it's confirmed that Kartik Aaryan will romance Kriti Sanon in Dinesh Vijan's upcoming production 'Luka Chuppi'. While Shraddha Kapoor's name was doing the rounds earlier, Kriti Sanon has been roped in as the lead actress.

The film will be shot across India in different cities like Mathura to Gwalior and then Agra where the 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' star will play the role of a star reporter of a local TV channel.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote, "Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon teamed in #LukaChuppi... Directed by Laxman Utekar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan... The story travels from Mathura to Gwalior and Agra... Kartik enacts the part of the star reporter of a local TV channel... March 2019 release."

 


After the super success of  'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety', Kartik Aaryan talked about how he is prepping for good work now. In an interview to DNA After Hrs, Kartik said,  'Now that I have a box-office success, these things come added to it. Bina achha kaam kiye, looks wouldn’t matter! I worked on these for my movie only; this reinvention is an add-on to my work. I worked on my body, I am fitter now, and things are slowly getting aligned. Maine jo paudhe ko pani diya tha, it is finally bearing fruit now. "

He also talked about his character 'Sonu' has become the turning point in his life. Kartik Aaryan told DNA After Hrs, "Things have changed to a great extent. When people get to know that I am in the entertainment industry, you start getting calls from even those people who you’ve never spoken to. But I don’t blame them, even I get starstruck. But, things changed for me, in a good way. So, there was this pre Sonu era, and there will be a post Sonu era."
