Known for her work in the field of women empowerment and emancipation, Sonali Kulkarni was invited by Tata Memorial Centre as a chief guest, alongside veteran actor, Nana Patekar, for a unique event called, Inspiring Art from Adversity, aimed at showcasing art inspired from fighting against cancer.

Observed as the Breast Cancer Awareness month, October marks the celebration of the journey of breast-cancer treatment, which has significantly evolved over time, bringing hope to what was initially labelled hopeless.

Sonali addressed the issue of a lack of awareness and was present at the donation of 25 art masterpieces created to depict a cancer patient’s journey. She says,  “Adversity is at the heart of art. I thank Tata Memorial Centre for coming up with such a wonderful concept, keeping the struggle of cancer patients in mind. I’m truly honoured to be associated with this cause.”
