Actress-author Sonali Bendre, who is battling cancer bravely and undergoing a treatment for the same in New York, has shared a picture of her latest transformation, where she looks bald and beautiful.
On the occasion of Friendship Day on Sunday, the Kal Ho Na Ho actress is seeking positivity and deriving it from her friends.
Sonali shared a photograph with with her friend Sussanne Khan and Gayatri Oberoi on her Instagram handle, which is clicked by actor Hrithik Roshan.
In the picture, Sonali who is sporting a bald look, seems happy around her friends Gayatri and Sussanne, as she is sipping a drink.
"This is me. And in this moment, I am really happy," Sonali captioned the image.
She further said, "People give me strange looks when I say that now, but it's true and I'll tell you why. I am now paying attention to every moment, looking for every opportunity to find joy and switch on the sunshine."
Sonali also went on to extend gratitude to her friends who have been her pillars of strength.
She said there are "moments of pain and low energy. But I am doing what I like, spending time with people I love, and feeling very loved and happy. I am extremely grateful to my friends, my pillars of strength, who at a moment's notice, arrived to be with me and help me through this. In between their busy schedules they find time to visit, call, message, FaceTime... basically never leaving a moment for me to feel alone. Thank you for showing me what true friendship is. Happy Friendship Day, ladies. Blessed to have you all in my life (including the ones not in the picture... You know who you are) @gayatrioberoi @suzkr"
The 43-year-old, who is undergoing a metastatic cancer treatment also said that she spends far less time getting dressed now as she doesn't have to fuss about her hair.
"Nowadays I spend far less time getting ready because I don't have to fuss over my hair! Bald is beautiful. Find the positive. One day at a time," she added.
Earlier in July, the actress shared the news of her being diagnosed with a 'high-grade cancer' and later on talked about how her 12-year-old son Ranveer Behl is coping with the situation.
Post her diagnosis, the Sonali Bendre has been quite active on social media platforms and constantly gives updates about her health to the fans.
Earlier this week, Sonali's husband, Goldie Behl said that his wife "is stable and is following her treatment without any complications".
We wish Sonali Bendre a very happy recovery and hope that she gets back in the pink of her health soon.
