Sonali Bendre Behl on hosting the Magnetic Maharashtra: Convergence 2018: I'll gladly be part of such initiatives

After securing a two-and-half decade long career in acting in films and television, Sonali Bendre Behl ventured into other mediums by creating an online book community and penning a best-selling book. With her popularity, it is hardly a surprise that the gorgeous actress was recently seen hosting the Magnetic Maharashtra: Convergence 2018, one of the largest global investors summit in the country taking place from the February 18 to February 20.

Held at MMRDA grounds, BKC, the summit was formally inaugurated by Hon. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and saw attendance from Heads of States of various countries, Cabinet Ministers from Government of India along with world business leaders and global investors. 

As the attendees of the summit will also be acquainted with the cultural side of Maharashtra through grand entertainment performances, popular music and celebrity interactions, its organisers deemed Sonali as the best choice to host the cultural segment. Last year, the actress also hosted International Film Festival of India, which is one of the biggest festivals in Asia, organised by the Information and Broadcast ministry of the country.

Says Sonali, "I'm very happy that a summit like this has been put together. I will gladly be part of such initiatives by the Government of India and it is my privilege to host the summit's cultural segment for this year. The segment showcases Maharashtra's beauty and to be given an opportunity to highlight the various cultural acts of the state is also my pleasure as a Maharashtrian."
