Sonakshi Sinha steps in after Kareena Kapoor Khan opts out of Apla Manus Hindi remake

The Hindi remake of the Marathi flick Apla Manus has been in the news for some time now. Ashutosh Gowariker has decided to come on board as a producer for the Hindi version. We had previously told you that Kareena Kapoor Khan was in talks for the leading role, but it seems that things didn’t materialise with her.

Says a source, “The modalities didn’t work out and Kareena is already committed to Raj Mehta’s next, with Akshay Kumar. So she also didn’t have the dates.” The same source adds, “Now, the film’s makers are looking to cast Sonakshi Sinha for that role. Their talks with the actress are in the advanced stages and in all probability, things will be worked out and she will sign up for it.” Looks like Bebo’s loss is Sona’s gain.
