The trailer of Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has tickled our bones and one thing that we have realised after watching it is that the film is going to be an entertaining roller coaster ride.

The film starring Sonakshi Sinha is a sequel to Happy Bhag Jayegi that had Diana Penty in a lead role, and while in the first part Happy goes to Pakistan, this time around, Happy ends up in China.

During an interview with Bollywoodlife Sonakshi opened up about a mistaken identity crisis not on-screen, but off-the screen!

That’s right, Happy (played by Sonakshi) is mistaken for Happy (played by Diana Penty) in the film and apparently, reality is not far away from the reel.

When asked if she has ever been mistaken as someone else, the Dabangg actress had the most amusing answer.

She told the website, “That actually has happened to me a couple of times. People get jumbled up with my name. So, sometimes people call me Sonali, sometimes Minakshi. From Sonakshi I don’t know how they make it to Minakshi.”

The prequel to the film Happy Bhag Jayegi, starring Diana Penty, Abhay Deol, Ali Fazal and Jimmy Sheirgill in pivotal roles, was nothing short of a funny ride too.

Talking about the sequel of the film, Diana had earlier told PTI, “If you like the first one, you will also like the second one. It’s the same space. It is funny, crazy and sweet. It’s a joyride. It is funnier than the first one. It feels good that a film is good enough for the makers to consider a part two. I feel proud when I think of that.”

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi is directed by Mudassar Aziz, who also helmed the prequel.

The comedy of errors of sorts retains a few actors from the old star cast, and will also see newbie Jassi Gill, apart from Sonakshi.

The film is scheduled to hit the screens on August 24.
