Delhi and NCR is smoged out for more than two days now. The air quality index (level of pollutants in the air) is clocked 468, more than seven times the safe threshold of 60. The Indian Medical Association has raised an alarm and declared a public health emergency, prompting officials to announce a number of measures to control the situation.
Varun Dhawan who is currently in the national capital shooting for his Shoojit Sircar film 'October' is also appalled to see the crisis in the city. Badlapur actor clicked a selifie wearing a mask over his face and gave out an important message for his fans. Varun urged everyone to GO GREEN instead of blaming each other or the government.
The actor captioned his selfie, "I have clicked this selfie to show you guys what actual smog looks like. I don’t want to preach I am equally to blame for this mess as most of the citizens of our great country, but now instead of blaming each other and the government let’s change. It’s time we go green."
