India woke up to a rude shock on Sunday with Bollywood legend Sridevi’s sudden demise. She was 55.

While Twitter is flooded with tributes pouring in for the screen diva, one tweet that many are sharing is that of Amitabh Bachchan, who was her co-star in several movies.

Her ‘Khuda Gawah’ co-star took to Twitter to write a cryptic tweet that roughly translates to ‘don't know why, feeling a strange restlessness.’

Was it a premonition or was the Bollywood icon aware about Sridevi’s demise? That may still be debatable, but what is beyond an iota of doubt is the fact that this untimely death of Sridevi has shook Bollywood to the core.

Bachchan and Sridevi starred in movies such as Inquilaab, Aakhree Raasta and Khuda Gawah.

One of the fittest actors in the film industry, it is said that Sridevi never missed a day in the gym. All of 55, Chandni fame star was last seen in critically-acclaimed movie ‘Mom’. The revenge drama was also her 300th movie.

Born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan, Sridevi was known for her iconic roles in Hindi movies like Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and many more.

The Padma Shri awardee actress had also made a mark with her stellar performances in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films.

In 2012, Sridevi returned to films after a 15-year-long hiatus with Gauri Shinde's movie English Vinglish.

Her daughter Janhvi is set to make her Bollywood debut this year with Karan Johar's directorial Dhadak.
