Sidharth Malhotra and Arjun Kapoor are being considered for the Hindi remake of Tamil film Thani Oruvan

The brotherhood between Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will always be special because of the films they have done together. They were frenemies in Student Of The Year and Gunday respectively and their onscreen chemistry was lapped up by the audiences.

Now director Sabbir Khan wants to break the brotherhood, and pick one actor from each jodi for the next film. Says an insider, “Sabbir has signed up with a studio. And he is now looking to cast for the Hindi remake of Thani Oruvan. There are two very strong roles in the film. A protagonist and the antagonist. And he wants to cast Sid and Arjun.”

After three films with Tiger Shroff, Heropanti, Baaghi, and Munna Michael, he now wants to work with  different actors. Adds the source, “This isn’t a role for Tiger, anyway. The plot needs older actors. It revolves around an IPS officer and a rogue scientist. Both roles in this thriller are equally strong and the film revolves around their cat and mouse game. The Tamil film marked the return of Arvind Swami as the main villian.”

Now, let’s see if Sid and Arjun give the nod for this film.
