Shruti Haasan's sister Akshara Haasan hops on the digital bandwagon, signs a web series

Akshara Haasan is the latest to be bitten by the digital bug. The young actress has signed up for the web series adaptation of the book Good Bye Girl, about an 18-year-old girl’s quest for justice as she seeks revenge against the rich and powerful who have wronged her in the most inhuman way. Aditya Datt (Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Table No. 21) is helming this project for producers Sohail Maklai and Girish Johar, who have acquired the rights from the author Sheeja Jose, who also has television shows like Adalat and Maano Ya Na Maano to her credit.

Akshara will be cast in a never-seen-before action avatar. She will also undergo intense and rigorous training for the extensive thrills. We hear an international action co-ordinator will be brought on board for this web series that will be shot in Delhi and Bangkok.
