Ever since it has been announced that Shahid Kapoor will star in the official Hindi adaptation of the Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, speculation has been rife about when the movie will actually go on floors. Many reports claimed that the Udta Punjab actor will begin filming from mid-September. But we hear that the plans have been postponed by two weeks.

The star will now begin shooting only in the first week of October. Reveals a source, “Shahid needs to get a particular look before he starts filming. He has to grow out his hair and beard a lot more than what it is right now. It’s something he has not been seen like before, so it was a collective decision taken by the actor, director and producers to kick-start the romantic drama in October.”

Apart from this, Shahid, who has another release in the third week of September, will also need to take time out for promotions. His wife, Mira Rajput, is expected to deliver their second baby around the same time. Our informer tells us, “Shahid will start off with the Mumbai schedule, taking a break of two-three days intermittently to tend to Mira. Post that, he moves to Delhi and returns only after wrapping the film completely.” For those who’re wondering when Sasha will take his paternity break, he will do so right after the Delhi schedule. Our source adds, “Shahid has decided to take some time off with his family and won’t be shooting any movie during the break.”
