If Saif Ali Khan in the role of Karan Singh Rathod in Ek Haseena Thi or Langda Tyagi in Omkara still gives you creeps, then get set to watch Nawab of Pataudi in yet another twisted character.

This time Saif Ali Khan is collaborating with director Akshat Verma of Delhi Belly fame and the first teaser of their film 'Kaalakaandi' is out.  Saif's dialogue in the teaser, " Yeh maine pehle kyon nahi kiya," defines his excitement for the adventure he is all set for in the movie.  With multiple ponytails and yellow fur caught, Saif's look is also intriguing in the teaser. In the 37 second teaser, Saif is seen zooming through the dark streets of Mumbai and meeting eccentric characters all along.

Set in Mumbai, the movie is said to be a thrilling dark comedy based on the lives of six urban and ambitious characters from different worlds. Kaalakaandi is going to be a raucous tale about life, death and karma that barrels through one monsoon night. The film was written specifically with Saif Ali Khan in mind. It took over two years before the script was presented to the actor and to add to their surprise, Saif gave a nod in just 5 minutes after reading it!

“Kaalakaandi is a film I'm so happy to be a part of! It's a cross section of Mumbai with underworld goons, doomed bankers and idealistic lovers all mixed together in this karmic tale about love, crime and living a lifetime in one night! Akshat has written and directed this unique movie and he is probably the only voice who tells it exactly like it actually is. Mumbai is a crazy, beautiful city and he is captured it perfectly in this very fun and very moving film”  said Saif.
