The makers of 'Saand Ki Aankh' dropped the trailer of the shooter Dadi's biopic on Monday. The leads Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar shine through the three minute long trailer and hit the mark.
Based on a true story of the Shooter Dadis' from Johri village director Tushar Hiranandani is all set to bring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar to the big screen in the 60 something avatar. The trailer of 'Saand Ki Aankh' dropped today on social media. Taapsee called it the labour of love and dedicated the film to all mothers.
The three-minute-long trailer shows a glimpse into Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar's childhood before they are shown and mothers who take on the gun to encourage their daughters. The two discover their talents and decide to make the best of it. There are scenes which also show how the two are ridiculed by the public and their family after picking up the sport but for themselves and a bright future for their daughters Chandro and Prakashi keep going forward in their Ghagras and dhungats.
Other than Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar, 'Mukkabaaz' actor Viineet Kumar shines in the trailer as their shooting coach. 'Saand Ki Aankh' also stars Prakash Jha and Shaad Randhawa in pivotal roles. The film is based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar who went on to win 352 medals each in the course of their veteran professional life as a shooter.
Bhumi and Taapsee have been sharing BTS since the shooting commenced months ago which has to lead to good buzz and excitement for the film among fans. The strong trailer is sure to increase the buzz by the time it hits the theatre. Backed by Reliance Entertainment, the film is presented by Anurag Kashyap In Association with Chalk and Cheese Films.
'Saand Ki Aankh' is set to release in theatres this Diwali.
