Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho performed just as expected. The movie, which released right after Prabhas-Rana Daggubati starrer Baahubali's massive success, helped Saaho achieve huge numbers at the Box Office. The movie, however, could have definitely performed better.
Saaho is currently heading for lifetime collection of Rs. 295 crore in all formats in India. Within less than a week of its release, surprisingly, despite Prabhas being a star in the South Indian film industry, Saaho did not perform in either Tamil or Telugu. Most of Saaho collections thus was contribution from Hindi cinema.
The movie, which has currently minted Rs. 292.41 crore, is unlikely to cross Rs. 300-crore-mark, which is the budget of Saaho. Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Saaho is currently competing with Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer Padmaavat, which had minted total of Rs. 295 crore at the Box Office. Saaho has however entered the list of top 10 highest grossing films in India of all time.
Week One- 2,53,17,00,000
Week Two - 35,24,00,000 apprx
Week Three - 4,00,00,000 apprx (5 days)
Total - 2,92,41,00,000 apprx
Saaho was expected to earn Rs. 450 crore at the Indian Box Office, considering Prabhas' star power. The movie came closer to that rang when combined with overseas collections. In the global market, Saaho will close at $11.50 million, which when converted to Indian rupees comes in the range of Rs. 415-420 crore. Saaho is thus the 14th highest total ever worldwide.
