Rohit Shetty to ring in New Year with his mother

Rohit Shetty along with his wife Maya and son Ishaan took off to Dubai recently to celebrate Christmas and spend quality time together. However, the filmmaker will be back in Mumbai on December 30 to ring in the New Year with his mother. Says a source, “Rohit is extremely particular about being with his mother for the New Year as she cannot travel with him for a holiday. So, every year, wherever he goes, he makes sure that he is back in town before the New Year. This time around, it will be more special as they will be celebrating in Rohit’s new house at Shetty Towers.” Must say, Rohit is quite the dutiful son.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who usually rings in the New Year abroad — either New York or London — will be in Mumbai this time. The father of two kids recently said in an interview that his twins — Roohi and Yash — are too young to travel as they are just 10 months old. So, even he won’t be travelling as he cannot think of celebrating New Year without them. This time, it’s all about family for Karan.
