Veteran actor Anupam Kher's autobiography titled Lessions Life Taught Me Unknowingly was unveiled on Friday by Rishi Kapoor, along with wife Neetu Kapoor and the cast of NBC's show New Amsterdam, in New York on Friday. The book gives a detailed account of the lessons learnt by Anupam Kher in his life and acting career that spans over 500 films.
Anupam Kher's autobiography was launched at a special event at the Consulate General of India in New York. Kher addressed the gathering of his friends and close associates and said,“My life is a sum total of what went wrong and because things went wrong in my life, everything went right.” He also added that his book makes for an interesting read as it doesn't talk about his success.
The actor took to his Twitter account to share a few pictures from the event. He wrote alongside, "It was pure joy, love, warmth & happiness at the launch of my autobiography in @IndiainNewYork. A report on the IndianExpress quoted Anupam Kher as saying, "Success to me is very boring, it’s very one-dimensional. Failure is multi-dimensional, it’s so amazing. What I’m today is because of my failures.”
Anupam Kher also thanked Rishi Kapoor for unveiling his book. He was further quoted as saying, “For him (Rishi Kapoor) to be here today is the most glorious thing about my autobiography. We have known him as a film hero, but today he is a real-life hero. He has been here for the last one year battling cancer and he has come out of it."
Anupam Kher's book Lessons Life Taught Me Unknowingly released in India on August 5. It will be released in the US on October 15 this year.
