Richa Chadha to host special screenings of 'Love Sonia' in small towns

Richa Chadha will be hosting a special screening of her upcoming movie, ‘Love Sonia’ for women of small towns and villages across the country to create awareness on human and sex trafficking. She truly believes that it is extremely essential to educate women at the elementary level in order to eliminate the practice of human sex trade.

Commenting on the same, Richa said, “Love Sonia’s theme is relevant to people from the lower strata of society. Girls should be made aware of the dark reality of human trafficking, right from a young age. High schools and colleges should provide this education, too. After the film’s release, I plan on showing the film to girls in smaller towns. I want to hold these screenings to help create wider awareness and kick-start conversations around this pertinent subject.”

Directed by Tabrez Noorani, Love Sonia is the story of a young girl who gets trapped in the dark and ugly world of global sex trade. The film has a strong ensemble cast including Freida Pinto, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, Richa Chadha, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Sai Tamhankar, Sunny Parwar, Demi Moore, Mark Duplass, Noorani is introducing Mrunal Thakur as well as Riya Sisodiya.

Love Sonia releases on September 14th, 2018.
