On Sunday, fans of Superstar Rajinikanth were taken by surprise on finding a 44-second long teaser video from his upcoming release 2.0, going viral on social media. Speculations about the official launch of the 2.0 teaser have been doing the rounds for quite sometime and fans have been waiting anxiously for the same as well, especially after the grand audio launch event of the film which was held in Dubai last year.
But after Kaala, Rajinikanth's 2.0 teaser too found its way online and the short video clip from the film broke the Internet within minutes. While some fans were excited to watch the teaser even before its official release, others were left disappointed, saying that the excitement and curiosity has been killed by the online leak. There were some who even urged others not to watch the leaked teaser video.
Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth took to Twitter to slam the act of the tease being leaked. She wrote, "Leaking content online before the official release should not be TOLERATED or ENCOURAGED ! This is a heartless act ignoring hard work, efforts and sentiments of the makers for few seconds of excitement !!! #BeAshamed #StopPiracy #StopMisusingDigitalMedium"
Now, for those of you who're wondering how and from where did the 2.0 teaser video actually get leaked, then let us tell you that the makers of the film officially shared the reason behind the leak. An indian film distrivutor in Europe, took to his Twitter account and informed that the 2.0 teaser was leaked from the birthday party of the head of Lyca Productions, K.Subaskaran.
Lyca Productions is the banner that's producing 2.0. The 2.0 teaser was reportedly screened at Subaskaran's birthday bash for VIPs and it got leaked from there. The film has been directed by S Shankar and also stars Akshay Kumar as the antagonist.
