Raveena Tandon Thadani has been invited by a girl’s university in Kolkata to feature in a documentary revolving around sexual assault on women. The actress was last seen in Maatr, in which she played a rape victim who fights for justice. It was intended as a wake up call about atrocities against women. It was after watching this film that the university approached Raveena to be a part of the video in order to add weight to the issue. An insider informs that the star also shared with the students her insight on blending storytelling and the social evil. Happy with the final draft, she will shoot for the documentary early next year.  Says Raveena, “I feel responsible to share all that I have learnt from my experience of working with organisations that deal with sexual assault. I’m relieved with the youth’s participation in opening the dialogue for such an issue.”

Incidentally, the actress who is associated with charitable causes, recently recounted a touching incident on her Instagram. She reunited with a girl named Anisha, who belonged to an orphanage called Premsadan in Madh Island that the actress closely worked with. Raveena clicked a picture with her and posted it.
