Vijay Maurya, who wrote the dialogues for Ranveer Singh-starring 2019-release film 'Gully Boy', has been roped in for Salman Khan's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'. The actor revealed that he is part of Salman Khan's movie and his contribution would be visible.

“It’s a Salman Khan film and mera jo contribution hai, woh thoda bahut dikhega,” Vijay Maurya told Bollywood Hungama. The writer is also an actor and he featured in 'Gully Boy' too as Ranveer's uncle Ateeq Khan.

Talking about managing to act in the movie he has written dialogues for, Maurya quips, “If I love a particular character in a film and wish to play that part, I read it very nicely during the narration,” adding, “And then the director would end up saying, ‘Yaar tum hi kar lo yeh role’,” he admits and laughs.

Apart from Salman Khan's 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai', Vijay has also been roped in for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Toofan' also featuring Farhan Akhtar. “Even Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra insisted that I should play a role in Toofaan. However, I told him that ‘main boxer toh nahi ban paunga’,” said Maurya.

Vijay also spoke about how a friend compared him to late veteran actor Kader Khan. Mainly a comic actor, Khan was also a screenwriter and even directed a few films in his career. Vijay Maurya was last seen in the Netflix film 'Yeh Ballet'.
