Ranveer Singh debuts first look as Sangram Bhalerao in 'Simmba'

Ranveer Singh is director Rohit Shetty's new hero for the movie Simmba. The fact Ranveer wants the world to know in all-caps post on Instagram.

On Wednesday, Karan Johar, Rohit Shetty, Sara Ali Khan, and Ranveer officially announced that the production for Simmba has begun.

Ranveer plays a police inspector called Sangram Bhalerao. The look is similar to what Ajay Devgn had portrayed in Shetty's Singham franchise. But the vibe seems to be lighter than before.

The first schedule of the film is two months long. Simmba is the Hindi remake of Telugu film Temper.

Ranveer shared a suave and poised image of his character, flanked by his castmates in police uniforms.

Sara Ali Khan is the female lead of the movie. She is simultaneously shooting for this Dharma Production venture and Kedarnath with Sushant Singh Rajput as her co-star. But given the troubles with Kedarnath shoots, Simmba may also turn out to be her debut movie.

Simmba is set to hit theatres on December 28, 2018
