Radhika Apte has won hearts, not only of the audience, but also the critics. Her out-of-the-box role choices and mind boggling performances have made her one of the most promising actresses in the industry today.

Radhika has tried her hand at and explored different film genres, and added a feather to her cap each time. But just doing critically acclaimed films is not enough and Radhika is pretty much aware of that. Her last release Pad Man, was a blockbuster. This proves that Radhika knows well that mainstream films are essential too.

In fact, the actress believes that commercially successful projects are important and one must work in order to be a part of such films too. The actress said in a recent interview with HT, "Unless you have commercial viability, the films that you really want to do, the smaller films, will not get greenlit. You need to have commercial viability as an actor today."

She also thinks that if a film does well at the box office it translates into more film offers. At the moment, Radhika is working on a Hollywood project. When asked if she thinks any of the Bollywood projects in her kitty cahnged her image drastically, the actress told the daily,  "I don't think my image has changed drastically. I have Bazaar and Sriram Raghavan's film to finish, so I am not sure. I am yet to be offered something very different. I'm waiting to see what comes my way."

Not only has Radhika highlighted issues of concern with her strong and mesmerising performances on screen, she has also spoken about them and discussed them, off the stage. Radhika has often highlighted pay disparities in Bollywood and Hollywood, but thinks that there are many more issues pressing at hand.

She was further quoted as saying, "There are definitely many other disparities in the industry that we as actors need to tackle. I think the pay disparity among A-listers is a very small issue. The real pay disparity exists with a lot of character artists, because with A-listers, a lot depends on how much you can make at the box office."

Apart from her Hollywood World War II spy drama, Radhika will also be seen opposite Dev Patel in Michael Winterbottom’s upcoming feature The Wedding Guest.
